Grandma. She moved the mountains.

I know, we all have the best grandma in the whole entire world. But I'm telling you, I really have the best grandma in the whole entire world!

The other day we were talking, mostly about writing. She was telling me about this devotional book her church puts together every year around Christmas. Whoever can enter a page into the book. You are able to do a typical devotional style, poem, story or whatever you want to add to this lovely piece of literature. She told me I should add something, I was instantly over whelmed with excitement!

I thought about what I should write for a while. I kept trying to come up with what God has been teaching me, any eye opening realizations, crazy life changing situations that brought me from the dirt to the top floor. I could think of any, at least none me heart was passionate to write about for the book.

Then I got it, I HAVE THE BEST GRANDMA IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! THAT'S IT!!

So this is my Grandma Thomas devotion. The very first thing I've ever written that will be in a book that  other people will read! Ding Ding Ding!

She moved the mountains

Matthew 21:21-22
21 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Faith like this is what brought me to meet my savior Jesus. I’d be lying if I said the faith was my own. It came from a hard-working woman that never gave up. She has been praying for me since the day she knew I’d be born.

Although I didn't make it easy on her, getting into some trouble when I was young, she kept going. She prayed me right into a real, honest tangible relationship with Jesus.

This amazing woman I speak of is my grandmother, Janenne Thomas.

She told me once that every morning she prays, “God help me be a blessing to someone else today.”

Grandma, I’d like to take a moment and thank you. Thank you for being my blessing. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts. Thank you for praying through the miracle and not giving up right before it happened. If it weren't for your prayers I wouldn't be walking with God the way I am today and it is an honor to have you as a grandmother.

     I love you. Merry Christmas!

Prayer: Father, Help me be a blessing to someone else. Don’t let me give up on the miracle before it happens, and help me grow to know you better though it. In Jesus name, Amen.
