Seek today.

"Tarry not for an opportunity to have more time with Me. Take it, though you leave the tasks at hand. Nothing will suffer. Things are of less importance than you think. Our time together is like a garden full of flowers whereas the time you give to things is a field full of stubble." -Come Away My Beloved, Frances J. Roberts

Day after day I wake up with a list running in my mind. It' usually goes something like; laundry, pay bills, work, get groceries, clean room, shower, spend time with God. All of which are important things to get done but why and how for that matter, do I expect  run run run and get everything done then have time for God? Shouldn't I be seeking Him before and through all of this? Yes because at the end of each list I feel too tired to concentrate on anything. That's not fair to someone that wants my love.

It seems so often we plan feeling at some point we will have time to breath and that would be the best time to seek Him. (When I get my new job, when this quarter of school is over, after I move, when I find a new church, ect. you know your reasons.)  It doesn't work that way. Why? Because life doesn't stop. I cannot think of a time in my life where there wasn't something going on. We're constantly running. Does "catching a break" even exist?

After reading a bit in Come Away My Beloved this morning, this hit me. The time is now. Seek Him today. It's a relationship not a check list. He wants to be a huge part of our lives. He wants us to work with Him during everything. Life will never be calm but when it is, it will be the fruit of a relationship with Him. Besides, we truly never know how much time we have on earth. The laundry can wait.
